San Diego History Center is located in San Diego’s historic Balboa Park. Consisting of a beautiful grand atrium and five different galleries, this museum is ideal for a unique private event. Also inside the museum are the Large Education Center, the Hans & Margaret Doe Small Education Center and the Thornton Theatre, perfect for meetings, lectures or small conferences.

The historic Balboa Park Club building was first constructed for the park’s 1915 exposition to house the state of New Mexico’s exhibits. It was later remodeled and enlarged for the 1935 exposition. It was during this period that sculptor Frederick Schweigardt and painter Belle Baraceneau created their striking fountain and mural which adorn the building’s grand foyer.

The museum offers facility use for your event in a beautiful and historical setting. Many of the event rooms are available day or night. The Main Chapel is an ideal and beautiful setting for virtually any event. Our featured special exhibit gallery is a wonderful addition for a main chapel event. The gallery space is perfect for beverage service area or a small buffet. Also available are the Military Women’s History Room and the Lower Level Meeting Room.

Junípero Serra Museum, located in Presidio Park, is an ideal setting for a stunning and upscale event. The striking mission-style building, constructed in 1929 is perched atop a hill above San Diego’s historic Old Town. The museum boasts a spectacular view overlooking the City and the Pacific Ocean and offers a partially covered loggia for an outdoor event and an interior gallery for a more intimate setting.

The Great Hall was built in 1928 and, designed like a medieval banqueting hall, can accommodate 130 dinner guests for any special event. St. Paul’s can recommend caterers, florists, photographers or DJs to ensure your event is professionally managed. An exterior courtyard, opened by Queen Elizabeth II, following her visit to St. Paul’s, is also available for use. With ample parking nearby, The Cathedral, Great Hall and Queen’s Courtyard provides our community with one of the most magical venues in the city.

The Jacobs and Copley Buildings can be used for special events in combination or separately. The Strauss Gallery and Figi Family Concourse can comfortably accommodate large groups for standing receptions with a distinctly urban flare. The Berglund Room, with its adjoining Woods Terrace, is a dynamic venue for meetings, lectures, and more intimate gatherings.
