This open house art show and wine tasting will take place at 960 Turquoise Street, Pacific Beach, CA 92109. Michel, the owner of The French Gourmet, will share his private collection of paintings by French artist and friend Louis Jaquet to the public art market.

About Louis Jaquet’s Art

When an artist possesses style, the subject matter becomes secondary.

Art endures because of the beauty in its form, rather than the concepts it conveys. Louis Jaquet developed the skill for synthesizing details in his work. The ultimate purpose of his paintings is to evoke contentment, even though they are deeply rooted in the melancholy of a wounded poet.

Louis Jaquet’s artwork is distinctly conceptual in nature. Rather than focusing on description or storytelling, his paintings are created on the expression of an idea, exploring certain realities through thoughtful elaboration. This approach places emphasis on intellectual engagement. inviting viewers to contemplate the underlying concepts presented in each piece.

Within Jaquet’s works, there are unsettling elements that challenge conventional expectations, suggesting a subtle disruption of order where none should exist. This tension highlights the contrast between light and shade, spirit and matter, and thought and action. Ultimately, Jaquet’s paintings celebrate the triumph of thought over action. A triumph that springs from the very nature of man called to build up his existence among wonderful realities.
